Musical Director - Career: Joseph, Lion King, The King And I, Singing In The Rain

Pete Faint is a keyboard player, musical director and vocal coach, based in Manchester. He studied at Lancaster University, gaining BMus (Hons) and MPhil degrees in music, before embarking on a career as a musician. He has worked consistently for almost twenty years in a huge variety of settings, and as well as performing he runs his own production company and recording studio which has produced theatre shows and dozens of albums in a variety of genres. He was also company director and musical supervisor for Veritas Entertainment Ltd.

Currently, Pete is part of the Rewind All Stars Band, performing regularly with artists such as Rick Astley, Nik Kershaw, Belinda CarlisleHolly Johnson, ABC and many more. He is also working as vocal repertoire coach at Wilkes Academy in Swindon, as well as working as musical director for Jonny Wilkes.

Pete is also widely regarded as the world authority on dance band leader and theatrical impresario Jack Hylton. He has written the definitive biography of Hylton (recently described as a “real contribution to the literature of popular 20th-century music in Britain”) and recently put on a full scale concert and exhibition on Hylton as part of Lancaster University’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
